Sam Kerr signs a new deal with Chelsea that will keep her in London until June 2024.
The 28-year-old arrived to Chelsea in 2019 from Chicago Red Stars. Since then, she made 56 appearances and scored 36 goals for the Blues. Kerr, who started her career in her home country, played for Perth Glory and Sydney FC before making a move to the United States. There she played for Western New York, Sky Blue and Chicago Red Stars. The Australian international with more than 100 caps won the golden boot award in the last season, when she scored 21 goals in 22 matches. Together with the team, Kerr became Women’s Super League champions and played in the Women’s Champions League final.

“It’s really exciting. I’m really happy at the club. We’ve had good success, being at a club like Chelsea is an amazing opportunity. The time was just right, I feel really comfortable being here. I think the club gives me every opportunity to succeed as a player. I can’t see myself going anywhere else in the world or leaving Europe, having what I have at Chelsea,” said Kerr.
