Sarah Bouhaddi joins Arsenal

Sarah Bouhaddi joins Arsenal as a free agent on a short-term deal, after having last played for Paris Saint-Germain.

The 37-year-old spent the majority of her career with Lyon, where she won 11 league titles, eight French Cups and eight UEFA Women’s Champions Leagues. Bouhaddi was named UEFA and FIFA Best goalkeeper in 2020. In 2022, she left Lyon after 13 years and joined Paris Saint-Germain, where she played for one season. The experienced goalkeeper was without a club since last summer.

“I’m delighted to be joining Arsenal and to become part of this great club. Arsenal has so much history across both the men’s and women’s teams and I’ve always admired the club,” said Bouhaddi for arsenal.com.
