Sarah Ewens and Lucy Quinn join Birmingham City on a two-year deal. Ewens is coming from Celtic, while Quinn makes a move from Tottenham Hotspurs.

The 29-year-old Sarah Ewens will move to the English club for the first time after spending most of her career in Scotland, where she played for Hibernian and Spartans. During the four years with Celtic, the Scottish forward made almost 100 appearances and scored 64 goals.

“I’m absolutely delighted. It’s really good to be here and I can’t wait to get started. It is massive for me, coming down, and playing in the top league. I love scoring goals and, hopefully, I can bring that to my game down here and also some assists as well. I am a very attacking player and I hope to bring those abilities to Birmingham,” added Ewens.

The 27-year-old Lucy Quinn starts her second spell with Birmingham, after she already played there between 2017 and 2019. Since then, the English forward played with Spurs, for whom she made 34 appearances across the last two seasons.

“It was my first ever professional club, so I have always had a special connection with the Club and everyone involved. When the opportunity arose to come back, it was definitely something that I had to consider. I definitely feel like a more senior player now and would like to come back to Blues and show how much I have grown,” added Quinn.

Previously, the Second city club already announced the arrivals of Louise Quinn and Jade Pennock.
