Shanice van de Sanden returns to Liverpool, where she already played in 2016 and 2017. She joins the club from Vfl Wolfsburg.
The 29-year-old played in Dutch Eredivisie for Utrecht, Heerenveen and Twente before joining the Reds for the first time in 2016. After two seasons, the Dutch forward moved to Lyon, where she won three Women’s Champions League titles. Since 2020, van de Sanden played in Frauen Bundesliga for Vfl Wolfsburg. The Reds have recently also signed Eartha Cumings, Gilly Flaherty and Emma Koivisto
“It feels amazing to be back. Being back in Liverpool, seeing the girls, meeting the coach, it means a lot to me. In my head I was already waiting for them to come back into the first league, I was following them everywhere,” said van de Sanden.
