Sophie Baggaley moves to Manchester United following her contract expiration at Bristol City. She signed a contract until June 2023, with an option for an additional year.
The 24-year-old started her career with Birmingham City. In 2017, the English goalkeeper went on loan to Bristol City, which was later converted to a permanent stay. Baggaley was Robins’ no. 1 between the post and made appearances in the last season across all competitions.
“It’s a great feeling to sign for Manchester United; a fresh new start for me and I’m looking forward to settling in and really putting the work in ahead of the new season. I know the goalkeeping department at the club is strong and everyone is here to compete which will really help me push on in my own development. I can’t wait to get started; I want to be part of success at this club and make the fans proud,” added Baggaley for manutd.com.
