Sophie Hillyerd signs for West Ham

Sophie Hillyerd signs for West Ham United, joining the club from Charlton Athletic.
The 19-year-old has been with Manchester United previously, before joining Charlton in the Women’s Championship last summer. The young English goalkeeper, who has been called up to U-19 national team, will look to develop and hoping for some minutes with the Hammers, who already signed Lisa Evans, Kirsty Smith and Izzy Atkinson.
“I’m really pleased to join West Ham. The facilities are fantastic and the coaching staff are extremely experienced and knowledgeable – I’m hoping that both of these factors will be a massive aid in my development here,” said Hillyerd.
