West Ham sign Yui Hasegawa

West Ham sign Yui Hasegawa from AC Milan. She signed a two-year contract with the Hammers.

The 24-year-old arrived to Europe at the beginning of the year, when she joined Rossonere from Japan. In the last season, the Japanese midfielder made 9 appearances and scored three goals for the Italian vice-champions. The 45-times-capped Japanese international is only second active Japanese player to play in the Women’s Super League (along with Mana Iwabuchi from Arsenal).

“My first impressions here at West Ham United are that the facilities are amazing and the girls seem like a great group. I’m really excited to get started here in England. The level of skill in this country is very high and it’s a really competitive league,” told Hasegawa for whufc.com.

Lucy Parker, Anna Leat, Claudia Walker and Zaneta Wyne have already joined the Hammers during the current transfer window.
